Jesus said, “Come to Me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) To be weary and heavy laden is to be tired and exhausted by the cares and concerns of life. Sometimes you’re so overwhelmed it feels as if the weight of the world were on your shoulders.

Jesus says, “Come and give me all of your problems, your fears, your pain and I will give you peace, joy, hope and rest.” No one else can offer us a better deal!

At The Cross Christian Fellowship is a small community or family of believers and followers of Christ. We are being changed and transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit and the study of God’s word (the Bible). Jesus said, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you” and “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth”. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far and the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

This is why we study the Bible in its entirety, book by book, chapter by chapter and verse by verse. The Bible is our map, our compass, gives us direction and shows us how we should live while we are in this world. It guides our steps and guides us in truth as we navigate through life with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Together we study the Bible, learning to put into practice what God says and putting aside our own agenda as we learn to trust and depend on the love of Christ and His marvelous plan for our lives. The greatest thing is that you will begin to know the heart of God and experience His immense love for you.
