21-Days Prayer and Fasting – Week Two Seek the Lord for our Nation

Week 2– “Seek His Face” this week focusing on this nation.

Monday January 15th, 2024 – Day 8

Seek the Lord for His counsel that stands forever.

Psalm 33 is a beautiful Psalm of praise to the God of all creation. Start your day today singing praise to God and making melody in your hearts to the Lord (Eph.5: 19). This Psalm tells us that God’s word is right and His works are done in truth. He is a faithful God. He made everything; the heavens, the earth, the seas, and all are a testament to His power and awesomeness. The Psalmist recognizes that the counsel of men (the nations) is useless and we ought not to put our trust in men. Only when a nation adheres to the Lord’s counsel will it be blessed. Let’s place our trust and hope in the Lord who is our help and protector, knowing His plans are perfect not only for our lives but for this nation as well.

  • Pray that this nation would turn away from wicked counsel and turn to God for His righteous counsel
  • Pray that this nation will stand with God and not against Him
  • Pray that this nation would put into practice our national motto “In God We Trust”
  • Pray for the salvation of the many lost souls who are deceived by the lies of the enemy

Tuesday January 16th, 2024 – Day 9

Seek the Lord through intercession for those in Authority

1 Timothy 2: 1-4,

“First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered for everyone—for kings and all those in authority—so that we may lead tranquil and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity. This is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

Do we believe that prayer changes things? Paul here in 1Timothy 2 is giving instructions to the church, which includes all of us. Praying for someone we don’t agree with or who has insulted us or simply “rubs us the wrong way” is difficult to do. Paul exhorts us to pray for “everyone”. Many of us have experienced a freshness and release that washes over us when we do pray for “that someone”. God doesn’t want anyone to perish (John 3:16) and desires that everyone come to salvation just as we have been blessed to receive. God’s invitation for salvation is free to all and no one is beyond where God’s mercy can reach.

  • Pray for our President, his administration, Congress, the D.O.J., etc. that they would repent and receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
  • Pray that our Federal and State lawmakers would pass laws that preserve the life of the preborn
  • Pray that godly leaders rise up and stand against ungodly agendas
  • Pray that those in authority would seek the Lord for guidance and help in governing this nation

Wednesday January 17th, 2024 – Day 10

Seek the Lord in humbleness for the healing of our nation

2 Chronicles 7: 14, “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

These following words have been quoted many times, I cannot recall the author but they hold tremendous truth. “God’s grace is immeasurable, His mercy inexhaustible, and His peace is inexpressible.” When we consider God’s faithfulness in answering prayer we also must consider our obedience to His word. This is not to say that God responds in a quid pro quo manner, He does not answer prayer simply because someone prays. However, the manner in which we pray, the condition of our heart and our constancy to yield to His word can invite blessings from a Father who is able to bless us abundantly (2 Corinthians 9:8). Humility, prayerfulness, seeking God, and repentance, are actions that please God (He will hear from heaven) and bring His forgiveness and healing.

  • Pray that God would open the blind eyes and unstop the deaf ears of all who need to draw near to God and receive salvation
  • Pray that this nation would call out to God in repentance, turning from her wicked ways
  • Pray then that God would heal this land of our rebellious attitude
  • Pray that the true followers of Christ will put into practice 2 Chronicles 7:14

Thursday January 18th, 2024 – Day 11

Seek the Lord in prayer for the future guidance of this nation

Proverbs 21:1 says, “The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He pleases.”

“Proverbs 21 serves as a profound reminder that human wisdom and understanding are gifts from God, who governs all things. The chapter encourages righteousness, prudence, and justice while warning against wickedness, arrogance, and folly. In the end, it underscores a fundamental truth: true victory and wisdom rest with the Lord,” (Biblehub.com). In verse one there is a powerful truth that God controls the king’s heart, in our day the President’s heart, as a channel of water is directed to feed and refresh the fields, (Ezra 7:21) God is looking for righteousness in all of us, but God can use even the unrighteous for His purpose. In Isaiah 45:1, God calls Cyrus who is a Gentile, heathen ruler, His anointed. As we pray for our leaders, from the President on down, let us trust that God is Sovereign over all leaders who are literally like putty (clay) in His hands.

  • Pray that the kindness and patience of God will bring about repentance in the President and leaders (Romans 2:4)
  • Pray that the President and leaders would resist following deceitful practices and desire to follow godly counsel (1 Timothy 4:1-2)
  • Pray for strength, courage, and integrity for the Christian staffers in all areas of government

Friday January 19th, 2024 – Day 12

Seek the Lord as we pray for our children and Education system

Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Would that our National Education System be dedicated to the teaching of moral integrity, character building, and the skills necessary for a child’s success in school and beyond. Instead this system is full of a diluted, amoral social agenda that brings confusion and underachievement to minds that are so easily influenced and manipulated. Matthew Henry wrote, “Train children, not in the way they would go, that of their corrupt hearts, but in the way they should go; in which, if you love them, you would have them go. As soon as possible every child should be led to the knowledge of the Saviour.”

  • Pray for the children’s protection from the satanic forces that have infiltrated our educational system.
  • Please pray that God and prayer will be brought back into the classroom
  • Pray that parents would stand up for the rights of their children and call for real education and not counterfeit social agendas
  • Pray for strength and the courage to stand against the polluted progressive tide for all Christian teachers and Administrators

Saturday January 20th, 2024 – Day 13

Seek the Lord for His protection for the fatherless and the widows

Isaiah 1:17, “Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor, Obtain justice for the orphan, Plead for the widow’s case. “(NASB)

We must defend the defenseless and help the helpless, as we may also one day find ourselves in that condition. We must be about our Fathers business doing the good that He requires (Luke 2:49 NKJV). God is more than willing to meet the needs of the needy, but He often employs the participation of His people.  James 1:27 also reminds us that, “Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, “.

  • Pray to be more compassionate, merciful, loving and just toward all people.
  • Pray for healing strength, guidance and provision for all widows
  • Pray for the orphans and homeless for protection from exploitation
  • Pray for a supportive community
  • Pray without ceasing for the protection of the unborn

Sunday January 21st, 2024 – Day 14

Seek the Lord that He may bless California and the Morongo Basin

Jeremiah 29:7 “Seek the prosperity (peace)of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD in its behalf; for in its prosperity will be your prosperity.”(NASB)

God has a plan and a hope for California and the Morongo Basin. Do you believe this? We must all contribute to the prosperity of where God has planted us. Prosperity in this verse is shalom which means welfare, health, prosperity and peace. Even though our citizenship is in Heaven, we are to pray for prosperity in our dwelling places, as our well-being is inseparable from it.

  • Pray for our local leaders that they would see the Lord for wisdom and guidance
  • Pray for all first responders; police, fire, ambulance, and their ancillary workers and staff
  • Pray that the many churches in this area would be united
  • Pray for local pastors that they would teach the pure and entire Word of God and not compromise

21 Days Prayer and Fasting – Week One for the Nation of Israel

“Seek His Face”

21-Days Prayer and Fasting

Prayer Calendar

Monday, January 8, 2024 – Day 1

“Seek the Lord, for the Peace of Jerusalem/Israel”

The Lord tells us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6) and that those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed (Gen. 12:1-3). Our hearts break over the atrocities carried out by Hamas against Israel, we must stand with the Jewish people and intercede on their behalf. The bible tells us in Isaiah 45:17 and Romans 11:26 that one day all Israel will be saved. Let us pray that multitudes return to the God of their fathers and place their trust and hope in Yeshua, their Messiah.

  • Pray against the evil demonic forces wanting to destroy God’s people (Eph. 6:12).
  • Pray for protection of Jews throughout the world. (Psalm 33:12-22)
  • Pray for an awakening, for Jews to return to the God of their Father’s and to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus their Messiah (Rom. 11:1-36).

Tuesday, January 9 – Day 2

Seek the Lord, for healing of the Brokenhearted (Matthew 5:4, “Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.”)

Most if not all Israelis know someone who was personally affected by the attacks on Oct. 7th. There is much heartache and heart break. Those who are in captivity, those who were released and feel guilty leaving the others behind because they know what they are going through. Those who lost loved ones, those who suffered fear as the enemy entered their neighborhood and homes, hoping they wouldn’t be discovered, the first responders and soldiers who witnessed the aftermath and take those images with them. Those who work hard at trying to identify the remains so that everyone will know what happened to their loved ones and those who are displaced and have no idea if they will be able to return home. We cannot even begin to imagine what the nation of Israel has been through. Let’s take this day to pray for God’s comfort, peace, and healing for all Israel.

  • Pray for God’s supernatural peace and protection, to give them courage and hope, and that they would feel God’s presence as we lift them up in prayer.
  • For the release of the hostages in Gaza (Ps. 106:44-48, Psalm 146:7-8, Isaiah 41:10-13, 61:1)
  • For the Lord to bring healing and comfort to all (Ps. 147:3-6; Rev.21:4).
  • The Lord’s provision for those displaced in Israel (Ps. 18:2; Ps. 73:26, Ps. 90:13-17).
  • For God to guard the hearts and minds (Phil. 4:7; Ps.34:4).
  • For all those who have suffered trauma (Ps. 10:14-15, 31:14-17, 21-22, John 16:33)

Wednesday, January 10 – Day 3

Seek the Lord, for those serving in the Military and their Families (Peace, Provision, Protection) Isaiah 41:11-13

The IDF soldiers are on the frontlines willing to sacrifice their lives to protect their families and their nation. They have left their home, their jobs and their freedom because they know that unless they win they may lose it all to the enemy. Pray that God would put an invisible shield of protection around them, that God would hide them under His wings, give them courage and strength, and comfort their hearts as they long to be home with their families. Pray for the spouses and children, parents, brothers, and sisters, who are waiting anxiously for their safe return home. Pray that God would supply all their needs according to His riches in glory and that He would move the heart of millions to send support financially and through prayers.

  • God’s shalom (peace) (Psalm 23 and Isaiah 26:3)
  • Protection for the soldiers and victory over their enemies (Psalm 91)
  • Strength, courage and grace for soldiers and their families at home (Isaiah 40:31, Deut. 31:6)
  • Abundant provisions of all kinds (Phil. 4:16-20)
  • Boldness for Messianic Jewish soldiers, to be a light and comfort for their fellow soldiers and open doors to share miracles and testimonies with non-believing soldiers. (1 Tim. 2:1-4, Ps. 73:28)

Thursday, January 11 – Day 4

Seek the Lord, for the Leaders in Israel

The Prime Minister, his cabinet, and all the military leaders need God’s wisdom to lead this war to victory on behalf of the nation. They need to remember that it’s by the Spirit of the Lord and His great Name that they will defeat the enemy. God fights on Israels behalf. Remember what David said when he came against Goliath, the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted. This day the LORD will deliver you up into my hands,” 1 Sam.17:45-46a. and then he says at end of 46, “that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel,”

  • Pray for wisdom for Prime Minister Netanyahu, his cabinet, the generals, and commanders (Prov. 2:1-8)
  • Pray that they would turn their hearts to seek God (Jeremiah 17:5,7).
  • For God to show them the way through to victory (Psalm 27; Deut. 20:1-4; Joshua 5:13-15).
  • Strength, strategy and insight and that they would lead with supernatural anointing (Prov. 24:5-6, 10-12,14;).

Friday, January 12 – Day 5

Seek the Lord, to intervene against Israels enemies Ps. 10:15-18

From the beginning of the nation, Israel has had enemies who have wanted to destroy them, but GOD…God is their defender, He is the lifter of their head, He will not allow Israel to be completely destroyed because He has promised them that no one would ever be able to remove them from the land that God has given them. There are instances in the bible when God would cause confusion among their enemies and they would kill each other, or God would put fear in their hearts, and they would flee. The battle is the Lords and He sends His angels on chariots of fire as their defense, He’s done it before, He can do it again.

  • Pray that the fear of God would fall on Hamas, Hezbollah, on the enemies in Lebanon, Syria, and Iran and on every enemy of Israel and give the victory to Israel (Amos 1:6-7, Isaiah 17:13-14, Zeph. 2:4-7).
  • Pray that God would bring confusion upon them and that they would destroy themselves (Judges 7:15-22, Ps. 129:5, Ps. 5:4-6, 9-10)
  • Pray that God would bring a spirit of brokenness and repentance. That the Lord would appear to many in visions and dreams, and they would lay down their weapons and turn to the Lord (Acts 3:19, Isaiah 55:7, Eze. 33:11, 1 Tim. 2:4,

Saturday, January 13 – Day 6

Seek the Lord, for the innocent victims of Gaza.

Although it may seem like everyone agrees with what Hamas did and continues to do there are innocent people in Gaza. Perhaps it’s a small percentage, we don’t know but even so, the Lord tells us to pray for our enemies. So today let us lift our face to heaven to intervene for those that are in the middle of this war, at the hands of Hamas.

  • Pray that they would take the way of escape that God will provide (Gen. 21:15-17)
  • Pray that they would receive the food, shelter and protection needed (Rom. 12:19-21)
  • Pray that God would provide a life of freedom for them and that they will take it
  • Pray that the Gospel would spread, and many would come to faith in Jesus. Just as God opened the eyes of Nebuchadnezzar and Darius the Mede, God can bring many to faith in His wonderful Son, Jesus (Dan. 4:34-35, 6:25-27).

Sunday, January 14 – Day 7

Seek the Lord, for our Government to stand with Israel (Psalm 33:12, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He chose for His inheritance.”)

This nation has always been a friend and supporter of Israel, even when the President did not have a true love for the nation of Israel. When we have stood with Israel we have been blessed and every time an administration has wanted to divide Israel, we have had disasters. Let us pray that our leaders would all stand with Israel, supporting her and giving her the resources necessary to complete the task at hand. Also pray for all Christians to stand with Israel, God has not replaced Israel with the Church, they are two distinct entities; Israel is the wife of Jehovah (Isa. 54:5) and the Church is the bride of Christ (2 Cor. 11:2, Rev. 19:7), we have been grafted in.

  • Pray for our leaders to stand with Israel (Gen.12:2-3).
  • Pray that we will give her the necessary resources to defeat the enemy (Gen. 27:29).
  • Pray for all believers everywhere to support and stand with Israel (Rom. 15:27, Acts 10:1-48, Isa. 49:6)

Read Isaiah 60 – God’s promises to Israel of Restoration “And they shall call you The City of the LORD, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.” And “You shall know that I, the LORD, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”

Pentecost: Can a Church be born in a day?

On the day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit gave birth to the Church. Jesus when He was alive told the disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father that they would be baptized by the Holy Spirit. Exactly on that day the third Person of the Trinity came down and in one of the greatest days of human history God came to indwell to transform and empower the apostles and the disciples of Jesus.
The Spirit continues to give life to the church. When a sinner repents, believes on and accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes in and begins the transformation in the heart of that person by bringing conviction, repentance and the ability to live the christian life day by day. He also opens our understanding to comprehend the scriptures (and so much more!). He gives us power, discernment and courage to persevere in our spiritual race.

Hebrews 1

“A More Excellent Name” Hebrews 1:4-14

Have you ever thought, or said, “I wish that God would talk to me” or “if I could only hear His voice and know what decision to make or what He wants me to do?” Well, God does speak, the problem is that we are not always listening.

God from the beginning of time spoke to Adam and Eve, even after they sinned, although it was never the same; God also spoke to the patriarchs and prophets, but now Hebrews tells us that God speaks to us through His Son Jesus. Just imagine the amazing honor of the people who heard Jesus speaking, teaching and explaining the scriptures directly from the mouth of God who is also the Word of God!

Jesus in His incarnation had to veil His divine attributes (like His glory) otherwise wherever He went no one would’ve survived. People knew Him as a carpenter and a great preacher; but He was the King of kings and Lord or lords, the Alpha and the Omega, the King of Glory, the King of Righteousness, He was the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, Great High Priest, sinners Savior, Messiah, Passover Lamb, Lion of the tribe of Judah, only begotten Son, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, the Eternal Word of God.

This is my Jesus! He is my Lord and Savior and my Master! Do you know Him? Have you talked to Him lately?

O let me tell you about Him…He is truly AWESOME!

The Power of the Resurrection

“The Power of the Resurrection” Matthew 28:1-15

The greatest day in human history was not Christmas or the Day that Christ died on the cross, the most glorious day was the day Jesus rose from the grave, that validated and confirmed everything He ever said and did.

The resurrection is the stamp of approval by the Father that the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross paid for all our sins. Jesus took our sins and nailed them to the cross.

The resurrection is the “AMEN” of the Father to the words of Jesus from the cross: “It is finished!”

Matthew 28:6-8 “He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you. So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word.”

Acts 1:9-11 “Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

Acts 2:22-24 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know. Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.”

2 Corinthians 5:21 “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of GOD.”

Abiding in the Vine

I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me  you can do nothing. John 15:1-5 Ever feel like you’re hanging by a fingernail? Well at least you’re still hanging on! Jesus doesn’t want us to “just barely” be hanging on, He wants us to be firmly attached in Him but in order for this to happen we need to be resting in Him, drawing our sustenance from Him, enjoying the life-giving Spirit that flows through our being so that when we are in the midst of the storm we are not blown off. The Father desires for us to remain in Christ as He prunes off the deadness of pride, unforgiveness, anger, and as He clips away the excess of “time-robbers” to give us the room we need to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and in wisdom and understanding of His word. Just imagine the sweet abundance of fruit that will grow in you and me as we bring glory to the Father.    “By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.” v. 8
